Am vergangenen Freitag und Samstag fand in Leszno, Polen, die Antidotum Airshow statt und wir waren zum zweiten Mal mit dabei. Auch in diesem Jahr war das Team der Flying Legends Teil des internationalen Display-Programms, das mit seiner perfekten Organisation, tollen Stimmung und einem abwechslungsreichen Programm beeindruckte.

Leider ergab sich vor der Anreise eine Planänderung: Am Wochenende der Flugplatzkerb war eine Dichtung an einem der Struts unserer Spitfire MH415 gerissen. Zwar konnte das Problem für die Veranstaltung und den Rückflug nach Siegerland kurzfristig behoben werden, jedoch war klar, dass ein Flug nach Leszno ohne eine neue Dichtung nicht in Frage kommt. Leider trafen die benötigten Ersatzteile nicht rechtzeitig ein, sodass wir die Teilnahme mit der MH415 schweren Herzens absagen mussten. Stattdessen kam vom Veranstalter die Anfrage, ob wir mit unserer Mustang „Frances Dell“ teilnehmen könnten – und so ging es am Donnerstag mit ihr auf den Weg nach Polen.

Die Flugzeit von Siegerland bis nach Leszno betrug 1:19 Stunden – bei einer Strecke von 327 Nautischen Meilen. In Leszno war die Piste 23 in Betrieb, der Wind kam kräftig mit 20 Knoten aus 150 Grad. Umso schöner war der herzliche Empfang durch das Team vor Ort. Nach dem Einchecken konnten wir erste Rehearsal-Flüge anderer Teams verfolgen und uns auf die beiden Airshow-Tage einstimmen.

Am Freitag und Samstag stand jeweils ein Display mit „Frances“ auf dem Programm. Die Airshow beeindruckte zudem mit spektakulären Nachtshows. Insgesamt fanden sich am Freitag rund 30.000 und am Samstag sogar etwa 40.000 Besucher auf dem Veranstaltungsgelände ein – eine beeindruckende Kulisse! Die Temperaturen waren angenehm, der Wind blieb zwar stark, hatte aber keine negativen Auswirkungen auf den Ablauf der Airshow. Ganz im Gegenteil: Das Publikum war großartig, die Stimmung auf dem Gelände einzigartig, und das gesamte Event lief beeindruckend präzise ab.

Am Sonntag traten wir die Rückreise nach Siegerland an.
Unser Fazit: Antidotum 2025 war erneut ein Highlight in unserem Kalender – trotz technischer Umstände und kurzfristiger Änderungen. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf ein Wiedersehen in Leszno beim Antidotum 2026!

Last Friday and Saturday, the Antidotum Airshow took place in Leszno, Poland, and we were there for the second time. Once again, the Flying Legends team was part of the international display program, which impressed with its flawless organization, great atmosphere, and a varied schedule.

Unfortunately, a change of plans occurred before our departure: during the weekend of the Gelnhausen Airfield Festival, a seal on one of the struts of our Spitfire MH415 had ruptured. Although the issue was temporarily resolved for the event and the return flight to Siegerland, it was clear that a flight to Leszno would not be possible without a new seal. Unfortunately, the required replacement parts did not arrive in time, and we had to cancel our participation with the MH415 with a heavy heart.

Instead, the organizers asked whether we could participate with our Mustang “Frances Dell” — and so on Thursday, we set off for Poland with her.

The flight from Siegerland to Leszno took 1 hour and 19 minutes, covering a distance of 327 nautical miles. Runway 23 was in use in Leszno, with a strong wind coming from 150 degrees at 20 knots. All the more welcome was the warm reception by the local team. After checking in, we watched the first rehearsal flights of other teams and got into the mood for the two upcoming airshow days.

On both Friday and Saturday, a display with “Frances” was on the program. The airshow also featured spectacular night shows. Around 30,000 visitors attended on Friday, and nearly 40,000 on Saturday — an impressive backdrop! The temperatures were pleasant, and although the wind remained strong, it had no negative impact on the course of the airshow. On the contrary: the audience was fantastic, the atmosphere on the grounds was unique, and the entire event ran with impressive precision.

We began our journey back to Siegerland on Sunday.

Our conclusion: Antidotum 2025 was once again a highlight in our calendar — despite technical issues and last-minute changes. We are already looking forward to returning to Leszno for Antidotum 2026!
